The 2015 edition of Red Bull Straight Rhythm has been run and won by the Stewart brothers, James and Malcolm. James, in his first race back after being suspended from professional competition for 16 months, was able to defend his Open class title seamlessly, while Malcolm was able to claim his first-ever Pro title.

In the Open class, Ken Roczen, Andrew Short, Justin Brayton, Dean Wilson, Ryan Dungey, Kyle Partridge, James Stewart and Josh Hansen made short work of their competitors before moving on to the Quarterfinals. Roczen, Brayton, Dungey and Stewart advanced to the Semifinals, before Roczen and Stewart faced off in the Final. Stewart’s win was an emotional one that will fill him with confidence heading into this weekend’s Monster Energy Cup and fast-approaching AUS-X Open.

In the Lites class, Malcolm Stewart defeated Matt Bisceglia, Jordon Smith defeated RJ Hampshire, Jessy Nelson defeated Austin Politelli and Shane McElrath defeated Michael Lieb in the Quarterfinals. Stewart beat Smith while McElrath beat Nelson, before Mookie went on to win his first-ever Pro title.

Malcolm’s winning run can be viewed below. Stay tuned for more videos from the 2015 Red Bull Straight Rhythm event.
