Crusty Demons Tour: It’s Back!

7 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: The Misfits, Off-Road

Cast your mind back. Way back. To 1999. In Western Australia. Almost 20 years ago, an ahead-of-his-time promoter called Wayne McNabb managed to sign a core group of outlaw American FMX riders and – with the consent of Crusty Demons of Dirt founding fathers, Jon Freeman and Dana Nicholson – bring them out to Australia under the Crusty banner for their first ever live FMX show here. I’m pretty sure McNabb called it “The All Crusted Out Tour”. Ingeniously, he drained the water out of a Bunbury water ski park, dropped a few FMX ramps and mounds of dirt in place, and boom, a Crusty Demons arena and live event was born.

Predictably, there was a riot and cops were called in to sort the rabble out. But McNabb’s ballsy move confirmed that a live, choreographed (well, sort of) FMX show could pull a crowd on Oz, and it was the precursor to a multitude of Crusty Demons and Nitro Circus live shows to tour Australia in the years since; tours that have been promoted by several different big-name entertainment enterprises over that time.

A company called Complete Events Group now owns to rights to promote the Crusty Demons Tour in Oz, and their PR people sent us some information about the upcoming 12-stop tour – called “Crusty Demons Rise of the Demons World Tour” – that kicks off in Sydney this coming August. Here’s the guts of it:

The Crusty Demons of Dirt are back, better and dirtier than ever in 2019!

Arriving on Australian shores with our biggest tour yet, Crusty Demons are set to entertain more Aussie cities and towns than ever before.

The huge national tour is set to kick off this coming August with pre-sale ticket registration launching on Monday the 18th of March, which enables customers to purchase the pre-sale allocation on the 27th and 28th March. True believers will be blessed with some of the most radical, death-defying stunts known to man. Remaining tickets will be released to the public on Friday the 29th of March for those who missed out.

We are bringing back some of your favourite Crusty Demon OGs, along with some new blood that will go bigger, faster, higher, and more insane than before. Dirt bikes, new tricks, Crusty babes, carnage, along with incredible production, all set for one hell of a show. This tour is not something you’re going to want to miss. Front Flips, Double Backflips, 360s, you name it, the Crusty Demons are taking action sports shows to a whole new level.

We are excited to be bringing the Quarterpipe into play and some heavy-hitters to be flying 30 feet above the ground. Crusty Demons are the original dirt bike superstars and we are raising the bar for our fans and going big.

Be the first to get your tickets by registering early to the motocross extravaganza of 2019. With a whole new show and line-up, this is an experience every freestyle and supercross fan cannot miss out on!
