Chad Reed seriously injured at Arlington

TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed was seriously injured at Round 7 of the AMA Supercross at Arlington after making an error in the rhythm section, effectively putting him out of the points race this season.

Reed and Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto were neck-a-neck when Reed attempted to seatbounce a section but couldn’t pull the nose up enough to stick the landing and went over the bars. After the crash Reed was holding his left knee and was carried off the track by the Asterisk Medical Crew.

Reed is flying to California today to see his specialist where he’ll be getting his knee and chest scanned. We’ll know more in a few hours.
