CAM SINCLAIR KICKS OFF 2011 IN STYLE IN NEW ZEALAND FOR NITRO CIRCUS

Current X Games ‘Best Trick’ gold medalist Cam Sinclair, has kicked off 2011 in style, performing in five sell-out Nitro Circus Live shows in New Zealand.

Sinclair, took some time away from his daily freestyle motocross (FMX) regime over the new year break to rest his body and marry his fiancé Brooke, however has wasted no time getting back into the swing of things, landing four out of five double backflip attempts in just three weeks throughout February. The Victorian crashed heavily at the Hamilton stop, collapsing the front wheel of his Yamaha YZ250 in the process – a friendly reminder of the dangers involved in performing such a stunt.

With little time to reflect, Sinclair his now signature double flip just three days later in Dunedin, in between performing the entire show with his regular array of tricks and stunts.

The five-stop tour can only be described as an incredible success, with sell out crowds of between 20,000 and 25,000 attending bi weekly to see the worlds best action sports athletes do what they do best in what could be described as the ultimate in action sports live show.

“This Nitro Circus tour of New Zealand was just amazing. The crowds were enormous and performing twice a week was just awesome. The whole crew are so much fun to be around and really just enjoy doing what they do. It felt great to get some double flips landed so early in the year; unfortunately I did crash one of them, but luckily wasn’t hurt. Its a scary trick, no matter how many times I do it that’s for sure!” Cam Sinclair said.

The Nitro Circus Live Tour now moves to regional Australia beginning on March 9 in Albury NSW. The intense two show a week structure is key in allowing the biggest name in action sport, Travis Pastrana, fit the tour into his hectic schedule, including now launching his own team and racing NASCAR throughout the USA.
