BRAD FREEMAN VLOG: 10 BUMBAG ESSENTIALS

5 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Beta Motor / Cairn Bell Photo

Beta Factory Enduro Team rider, Brad Freeman – the FIM EnduroGP World Championship’s reigning E3 and EnduroGP (Outright) champ – is only too happy to impart invaluable advice that helps other set up their bikes, save money and ride faster.

In this week’s instalment, he reveals what he reckons are the 10 essential tools and/or parts that you need in your bumbag, and how to pack the thing. In addition to saving weight, packing only the necessary items will also make your bumbag a little less uncomfortable to wear for long periods.

WHO IS BRAD FREEMAN?

Brad Freeman is a 25-year-old Brit who’s taken the FIM EnduroGP World Championship by storm in recent years. After winning the 2017 FIM Junior Enduro World Championship in 2017, he’s gone on to claim another six world championships between 2018 and 2021 – two E1 titles (2018, 2019), two E3 titles (2020, 2021) and two EnduroGP titles (2019, 2021). Freeman, together with Beta teammate and fellow Brit, Steve Holcombe, have won an astonishing total of 14 world titles for Beta over the past five years and, in the process, have locked up the World Championship’s EnduroGP (‘Outright’) title for the past five years on the trot!

Most reigning world champs, no matter what the sport, are disinclined to give away their secrets. And who’d blame them, when you consider that defending a world title is said to be more difficult that winning it to begin with. But not Brad Freeman. This champ is only too happy to impart invaluable advice that helps other set up their bikes, save money and ride faster.
