BILLY BOLT – SIDELINED BUT NOT SILENCED!
Earlier this week came the heartwarming news that 47-year-old Graham Jarvis had achieved the unthinkable by winning his seventh Red Bull Romaniacs – an event widely regarded as the world’s toughest Hard Enduro Rallye. Without taking anything away from Jarvis, most pundits had thought we’d actually be talking about another Husky-mounted Brit topping the standings at Romaniacs – Billy Bolt. That is, until we discovered that Bolt had made the last-minute call to sit out the gruelling Romaniacs event this year to undergo surgery for an ongoing wrist injury – and in doing so, virtually guarantee we’d see a change at the top of the Championship’s standings.
But none of that meant that Billy Bolt would go to ground. No, the amusing “Uncle Bill” made an eleventh-hour call to rock up at Romaniacs with camera in tow to offer his own unique “Uncle Bill Does TV” insight into the Transylvania-based event – this time from the sidelines rather than aboard a bike. Billy even gets to swing off the mic for a bit, playing commentator for Red Bull TV’s live feed from the event, and dish up some really cool BTS footage of the who’s who in the Hard Enduro scene. Enjoy!
