Bilko can’t catch a break

Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams hasn’t had a solid contest showing since winning Freestyle gold at X Games 15 in 2009. But even so, he continues to remain a threat for the number one spot no matter where he happens to show up to ride. After re-injuring his knee just weeks before the third round of Red Bull X-Fighters in Moscow, on a 360-gone-wrong at a Nitro Circus Live show, Bilko decided to ignore his doctor’s orders to give Moscow a go. With his freshly applied stitches yanked out nearly pre-maturely, Bilko packed up his bags and flew from L.A. to Moscow only to re-injure himself in a practice session, smashing his collarbone after taking a massive digger on a failed cliffhanger flip.

ESPN caught up with Bilko after he braved the international flight from Moscow to L.A., to discuss the unfortunate incident, the severity of his injury and how it will affect his X Games efforts.

Check out ESPN for the rest of the interview.
