Bike: 2015 Yamaha WR250F
Yamaha has unveiled its all-new 2015 WR250F, which appears to be heavily based on the 2014-model YZ250F. A brand new model, the 2015 Yamaha YZ250FX, has also broken cover in the US and Europe.
Both bikes feature the latest revolutionary rearward slanted, fuel-injected, 249cc, DOHC four-stroke engine with four titanium valves, bilateral beam frame, KYB SSS (enduro-spec) suspension, electric starter, 18-inch rear wheel, wide ratio transmission and a sixth gear. The 2015 WR250F comes standard with a head-light, tail-light, skid plate and electric radiator fan. The 2015 YZ250FX, designed to contest off-road races such as the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series and Hare Scrambles, comes with no lights.
The 2015 WR250F was unveiled this morning in Oz at Yamaha’s stand in Phillip Island, where the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix is taking place this weekend. The 2015 YZ250FX was not present, and it is yet to be officially confirmed whether or not the machine will be available on Australian shores.
