Bike: 2015 Suzuki RM-Z250
The winner of Transmoto Dirt Bike Magazine‘s 2014 250cc MX bike Shootout, the RM-Z250, remains unchanged for 2015, and does not receive the Showa SFF (Separate Function Front) Air Fork that the ’15 RM-Z450 does. It returns for 2015 with its class-leading performance features, aimed to deliver potent mid-range and top-end power. Suzuki’s fuel-injection technology born on the race-track feeds this engine, and riders can choose from two additional EFI couplers that can be plugged in track-side without tools.
The 2015 RM-Z250 retains its chassis that delivers precise cornering with predictable performance that’s aimed to help riders of all levels win races.
Like its 450cc brother, the RM-Z250 also features key components such as Suzuki Fuel Injection with two additional plug-in fuel couplers feeding a 249cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine with dual overhead cams, as well as Renthal FatBars, Excel aluminum rims, and waved disc rotors.
