Barrington Tops Trail Bike Adventures

Barrington Tops offers some of Australia’s best trail riding. To unlock and discover the secrets of this region, Transmoto’s Phil Osborn and Ben Bunda joined Barrington Tops Trail Bike Adventures, run by Glen Charlton.

Nothing beats packing up your van or ute and heading off for a weekend trail ride with your mates. To venture to a new location, guided by a local who knows the place inside out, guarantees you the best experience.

If you love flowing single track, challenging hill climbs with equally challenging descents, this ride is a must. At Barrington Tops, the terrain is as diverse as you could ever expect in Australia. The ride goes through lush rain forest, crosses multiple creeks and the terrain is never dull. Being fully guided means if you ever get into a difficult situation or need help, you have great sweep riders to assist.

You know you’re in for a good time when you arrive at a property and everyone is smiling and excited to be hitting the trails together. I travelled to Barrington Tops with Ben Bunda. As we both have young families, getting leave passes to ride is never taken for granted. We joined Chris Watson and his motorcycle shop’s annual ride. Chris Watson is still super fast and loves to ride. His loyal customers are equally passionate dirt bike riders. It was a great group of guys.

The hospitality of Glen and his wife, Alyson, is country hospitality at its best. They have built a five-star dirt bike tour operation. Their accommodation and meals are simply 10/10. You will never go hungry on this tour and kicking back at the end of the day around a fire is epic.
