With the three-round 2023 Australian Supercross Championship set to kick off this weekend, and the Aussie round of the MotoGP then descending on the incomparable Phillip Island just a couple of weeks later, how could we not go back to our archives to revisit an article about the combination of the two? Yep, back to 2012, when a round of the Australian Supercross Championship was showcased at Phillip Island’s Lukey Heights and damn near upstaged the MotoGP!
