Wollongong Motorcycle Club hosts the South Pacific Open
Just an hour and a half from Sydney’s CBD, one of the best natural terrain motocross tracks in New South Wales, Mt. Kembla Motorcycle Complex, in Wollongong, is soon to see some of the best racing motocross has to offer on May 28/29 with the return of the South Pacific Open.
Saturday May 28 will be the day for the juniors racing, with many fast kids making the trip from all corners of the state to bang bars. Sunday’s racing is reserved for the seniors so get ready to see some of the best riders and racing the state and country has to offer.
Local pro riders Jay Marmont, Ryan Marmont and Cody Mackie will be out to prove their recent good form on their home track. Good prize money is also up for grabs in all senior classes.
With 13 classes over the weekend there is a class for anyone. With seven classes on Saturday for all age juniors and six classes on Sunday for the seniors, this weekend is catering for everyone. There is even a class for the ladies and the over 35’s. Racing will start at 9.30 am on both days, with full canteen facilities available.
Sign on begins on at 7:15am on both days. Mt Kembla Motorcycle Club is located on Harry Graham Dr, Mount Kembla, which is easily accessible from Mount Ousley Road or the Picton Road.
