Sydney Super X Round 6 Info
Round 5 of the Super X takes place on this Saturday, November 27, at Parramatta Stadium in Sydney. The Opens class will be contesting the finals in the Quad Challenge and the Lites will be competing in the Survival format.
Track
Things are heating up at the penultimate round of the Super X series, with the Parramatta track featuring the longest starting straight of the series at a whopping 94 metres! There are 30 jumps in this course with a big 32 metre triple on one side and a 30 metre finish line jump on the other, which is sure to appease the crowd on either side of the stadium. The course has 40 metres of one-metre high treacherous whoops and a demanding sand section. This track will be a lean mean fighting machine that will strike at any rider that isn’t prepared for the gruelling onslaught that will ensue.
Race Format
Opens Format: Quad Challenge
Lites Format: Survival
Riders in both classes will compete in a 2 x 8 lap heats, with positions one to nine progressing directly through to the finals.
The Opens final is made up of 4 x 6 lap races with points awarded for each race.
The Lites class will consist of 20 laps, split across 4 x 5 lap races. After every five laps the last five competitors will be eliminated until there are only five riders are left. The final five will then go head-to-head in a decisive five-lap sprint.
How to get there?
The Sydney round will be held at Parramatta Stadium situated off O’Connell St and borders the Parramatta River. The stadium is roughly 28km from the heart of Sydney.
