Former AMA Motocross Champion Doug Henry house burnt down
Former AMA Motocross Champion Doug Henry, along with his family, lost their home in a fire which began Wednesday morning around 11 a.m. and is still under investigation by the Torrington and State Fire Marshals.
According to Torrington Fire Chief John Field, the blaze was originally called in as a brush fire and when multiple crews arrived on the site 20 to 30 minutes later, they found out it was a different story.
The smoke from the mountain turned out to be from 776 Guerdat Road, which isn’t visible from the street. According to Field, the house was completely engulfed in flames when the first units showed up and put it out quickly.
