British MX Rider Jason Dougan to race in MX Nationals
In what has become somewhat of a regular occurrence, another international rider will be joining the MX Nationals for this weekend’s Round 6 to be held at Wodonga. SERCO Yamaha has recruited the services of British Motocross rider Jason Dougan to ride one of their YZ250Fs. Jason is said to be one of the most underrated riders on the British scene and was disappointed not to be running in the World MX1 Championship for 2010. He secured a ride on the Steve Dixon/Phoenix Tools Bike It Cosworth Yamaha Team and is currently sitting 5th in the British MX Championships.
When asked about why he was riding the 250, Jason said: “We tried to get a 450 ride but there wasn’t anything available, then a great opportunity to ride for SERCO came about. I have no expectations for this weekend and haven’t ridden a 250 for over two years so it’s going be interesting”.
Jason will be in Australia for the next two rounds of the Australian MX Nationals (Rd 6 Wodonga, Vic and Rd 7 Moree, NSW) he will be hanging out with his good friend Billy Mackenzie while in Australia.
We wish him all the best while his in Australia.
