2025 TENERE 700: THE MODS YOU ASKED FOR
The marketing campaign for Yamaha’s recently released 2025 Tenere 700 revolves around “YOU SPOKE, WE LISTENED”; a slogan intended to reinforce the idea that the changes made to its flagship, mid-capacity adventure model for 2025 were primarily “consumer-driven upgrades”.
And having now tested the 2025 Tenere, we reckon that rings true. In addition to the judicious introduction of electronic features, the 2025 Tenere 700 also got suspension upgrades (its component spec and adjustability), a one-piece rally-inspired seat, revised ergos (including wider footpegs), new bodywork and headlight, a lower centre of gravity (thanks to the lower-mounted 16L fuel tank), some welcome updates to the bar-mounted switchblocks, an all-new 6.3” TFT dashboard, and a bunch of other small but functional component tweaks.
To help understand the consumer-driven update process behind the 2025 Tenere – and how these targeted mods affect the bike’s performance (and price tag) – we sat down for a candid chat with Yamaha’s Marketing Manager, Sean Goldhawk…
