2022 Yamaha WR250F: Behind the Development

With the in-house factory Yamaha test riders out of action during the height of the Covid pandemic in Japan, it was up to our Aussies to help develop the 2022 WR250F. But it wasn’t just anybody giving their two cents’ worth; it was current Pro racer Josh Green and former Pro racer, now Yamaha Team Manager, AJ Roberts, who put in the work-behind-the-scenes development work directly with YMC.
Although Yamaha’s WR-F range has been heavily based on the Aussie and NZ markets’ demands for some time now, this is the first time for many years that Australian riders have been so involved in fine-tuning the production bike’s settings. And that really shows in the end product.
