KTM’S THREE-CHAMP LINE-UP TALK DAKAR RALLY

2 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: KTM Images

A couple of weeks back, when KTM officially announced their rally race team line-up, it was confirmed that former Dakar winner Sam Sunderland moved from KTM to its sister brand’s team at GASGAS for 2022. But for the second year in a row, KTM’s factory rally team goes into January’s Dakar Rally boasting three Dakar winners on their rider roster: a stacked team comprising Toby Price, Matthias Walkner and reigning Dakar champ, Kevin Benavides.

Check out this beautifully shot vision and interviews with the talented trio as they go through their final preparations and sand-dune shakedown ahead of the great race in Saudi Arabia – all aboard the latest version of the KTM 450 Rally; a bike all three riders seemed to have really gelled with.
