GasGas Trial Bikes: Now Available in Oz

4 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: GasGas Motorcycles

Last September, KTM Industries AG (now Pierer Mobility AG) announced that it had struck up a deal with the owners of GasGas Motorcycles, Black Toro Capital, to forge “…a future industrial cooperation with the famous Spanish motorcycle brand, under the lead of KTM”. Since then, we’ve had glimpses of a few GasGas factory race bikes – for example, Laia Sanz’ Dakar Rally beast, Taddy Blazusiak’s extreme enduro machine, and Glenn Coldenhoff’s MXGP weapon (which he’s already claimed a couple of wins aboard). And while we’re yet to lay eyes on GasGas’ Austrian-produced MX and Enduro production models (the 2021-model machines expected to be unveiled later this year), the brand has revealed its new range of trial bikes – the 2020 ‘TXT Racing’ models, and the exclusive factory edition TXT GP models.

Here’s an except from Gassers’ recent PR about these rad little stump jumpers…

GasGas Motorcycles is pleased to announce the availability of the new GasGas TXT Racing model line-up now available in Australia at selected authorised dealers. Produced at the facility in Girona, Spain, and distributed by GasGas Motorcycles, the TXT Racing models deliver class-leading chassis performance and are equipped with powerful and compact two-stroke engine. The GasGas trial range sets the benchmark against which all other trial bikes are measured.

Renowned for their minimal weight, usability, ease of maintenance and high performance, the 2020 GasGas TXT Racing models represent the ultimate trial machines. These advanced two-stroke models are available in Australia now, with all machines delivering class-leading chassis performance, strong and controllable power, minimal weight, a compact, minimalist aesthetic and high-quality components.

The flagship model of the range, the TXT Racing 300, offers a potent combination of linear power and massive torque. Featuring the best suspension components in class, selectable engine maps and BrakTec hydraulic clutch and brakes, the TXT Racing 300 combines performance, quality and reliability.

The TXT Racing 250 will be available from late-August and features the ‘classic’ engine displacement of the GasGas trial model range, offering the perfect balance between usable two-stroke torque and nimble, lightweight handling. Revving up to 10,500rpm, the TXT Racing 250 is easy to use, versatile and excels in tough, technical terrain.

Completing the GasGas trial model range for Australia are the exclusive factory edition GasGas TXT GP models, featuring an extensive list of upgraded and premium components to ensure optimum performance. Limited to 550 units globally, Australia will have a very limited number of TXT GP 250 and TXT GP 300 models available from mid-September.
