Round seven of MX Nationals moved to Moree, NSW

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to announce that round seven of the 2010 Australian Motocross Championship has been moved to the Moree Motorcycle Club, Moree, NSW on 18 July.

The round, originally slated for Port Macquarie, was tentatively moved to McAdam Park Barrabool, however MA and Series Promoter Williams Event Management (WEM) have decided against holding any National Championship events at the Geelong facility in 2010.

When MA purchased the venue, it was excited at the opportunity to bring National Events to the region, boosting both the local economy and promoting the local area. However, due to unforseen setbacks, including assurances that the venues infrastructure was at a high enough standard for a National Championship, the round is unable to go ahead.

MA is working with the Surf Coast Shire in relation to Infrastructure and Event Management planning and is committed to the long term future of the property.
MA looks forward to working alongside all parties involved to ensure this historic motorcycling facility is enjoyed for many years to come.
