QMP: 2-Day Trailride on New Trails
Queensland Moto Park (QMP) holds fond memories for Transmoto because we successfully staged the inaugural Red Bull Day in the Dirt Down Under at the venue last September. And while a lot of people will be familiar with the range of sweet motocross and mini bike tracks at the complex, few are aware that QMP also boasts a huge network of riding trails.
So, to celebrate the recent refurbishment of that trail network, the QMP crew have decided to stage a special Trailride Weekend on April 6-7, with free camping, a communal fire and live music.
According to QMP’s Ray Buchanan, “This coming two-day celebration of QMP’s refurbished trail network is starting to take on a life of its own. On top of our special date and price for two full days of access to QMP’s bush trails, we’ve now set to work on our Saturday night activities. We’ve arranged a fire pit and communal area in which to hang out and have a refreshment or two after dinner on Saturday night, and then added a guitar vocalist coming to pump the atmosphere right up to sublime. Out in the bush, recent rains have helped settle the trails even more, and rejuvenate the grass, so you can enjoy a superb ride, and take in the views from the vantage points on new sections,” Buchanan went on to say.
For more information, check out the event flyer below. It’s best to book through Ridernet, and then on the day, go to the Café area (after you park) to collect your special TrailRide Weekend armband.
