2017 A4DE… Postponed or Cancelled?

9 years ago | Words: Motorcycling Australia | Photos: Motorcycling Australia

Despite there being no official press release from Motorcycling Australia (MA) yet, MA’s Facebook page has revealed that, “The 2017 A4DE earmarked for September 25-30 will not go ahead as planned. The Toowoomba Motor Cycle Club (TMCC) sighting poor attendance forecasting figures weeks in advance of entries closing for the termination. Both Motorcycling Australia and the State Controlling Bodies are currently working with the TMCC to reach an alternate solution for the successful running of the 2017 A4DE. Details of revisions will be released in due course.”

Let’s hope an alternative can be found this year because it the annual Australia 4-Day Enduro has been running uninterrupted since its inception in 1978 at Cessnock, meaning the 2017 A4DE will be the event’s 40th running.
