Product: Atlas Body Protection

Atlas unveils its first complete range of adult and youth body protection products.

Atlas is best known for producing world-class neckbraces that have grabbed huge slabs of market share in the past couple of years. Back in 2015, Atlas augmented their Air Neckbrace with what was their first foray into the body armour market – the “Defender”. And now, the USA-based protection specialist has expanded their body armour range to include fours models – all neckbrace-compatible and all recently released in Australia through Melbourne-based Monza Imports. These new models (Guardian Protector, Defender Protector, Defender Junior Protector, Charger Roost Guard) are the result of 24 months of extensive development, refinement and testing.

According to Atlas, this new range delivers a complete body and neck protection package, with riders’ preferred level of protection and comfort (and all off-road riding disciplines) now thoroughly catered to.

So, let’s take a look at the features of the new Atlas body armour products…

Defender

Traditional chest protectors have been the same for over 40 years, but the Defender is the first armour made to integrate seamlessly with an Atlas neckbrace.

Features:

  • The padding is extremely lightweight, incredibly tough, tear resistant and completely waterproof.
  • Configurable in five different ways, whether it’s worn over or under the jersey.
  • Unique waist straps have built-in magnets to help keep the straps in place during use.
  • The simplistic design not only enhances features and function, it also lends itself to customization. Custom graphics are readily available, making it easy to add your name, number and personal style.
  • A total of 52 intake and exhaust vents help promote maximum airflow to the body.

Guardian

Extreme conditions require extreme protection, and the Atlas Guardian is up to the task. Unique impact-absorbing materials are paired with an airy, shirtless design to provide superior ease of use, breathability, and impact protection all in one ultra high-end package.

Features:

  • The shirtless design lends itself to customisation. The elbow and shoulder protection is completely removable. Don’t want elbows on your suit? No problem! A simple tether allows them to be instantly removed.
  • By eliminating hard plastic surfaces and using soft compression moulded foam construction, the Guardian naturally conforms to your body shape over time. The more you use it, the better it fits.
  • With 12 points of adjustment, the Guardian can be tailored to fit a wide range of body types, sizes, and personal preference.
  • Built with options in mind, the Guardian’s ultra-slim profile is designed to be worn under or over a jersey. The shirtless design helps prevent additional heat build-up by removing an extra layer of clothing from the equation.
  • Built in straps help you seamlessly integrate your Atlas Brace with the Guardian.

Also available in the range is the Defender Junior, and the Charger low-profile vest for riders looking for roost protection.

The entire body protection range from Atlas is available from your nearest Monza Imports dealer.
