Dirt bikes join fire-fighting forces
Aside from sensational, Current Affair-style beat-up stories about “motocross larrikins menacing the general populace”, it’s not often that dirt bikes make mainstream news media. But in the last couple of weeks, dirt bikes have cropped up on evening news bulletins a few times – for this weekend’s high-profile AUS-X Open supercross and FMX event at Sydney’s Allphones Arena, and for the part they’ve started to play in fighting fires.
