Motorcycling Australia Press Release: Day 3

The Yamaha 2014 Australian 4 Day Enduro completed the pen ultimate day 3 today and CDR Yamaha’s Daniel Milner holds the overall lead heading in to the final day 4.

He’s just holding off the ever persistent Toby Price (Motorex KTM Off-Road) who is just under a minute behind after racing to a day 3 fastest overall time.

Chris Hollis (CDR Yamaha), Josh Strang (Yamaha) and Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna) continue to battle it out for the final podium spot in both the overall and E2 standings.

The surprise packet of this years championship however is seriously pushing his claims.

Beau Ralston (Active8 Yamaha) in his first ever A4DE is sitting just outside the top 5 overall by just over one minute.

Tom McCormack (Active8 Yamaha) enjoys a good lead in the E3 class over Peter Boyle (Motorex KTM Off-Road) who is hanging on to a slender four second lead over American import Mike Brown (Husqvarna).

Glenn Kearney (Husqvarna) also holds on to his E1 lead despite Daniel Sanders (KTM) being just five seconds behind in day 3, there is still a minute long gap between the pair.

Meanwhile in the Women’s class there is just three seconds separating the top three spots, it’s looking like it will come down to Saturdays final moto.

Jess Gardiner (Ballards Off-Road) is one second in front of Tayla Jones (KTM) who is one second in front of Emelie Karlsson (Yamaha)!

The riders completed the day by walking tomorrows final moto in preparation for the A4DE grand finale.

Spectators are encouraged to come down and enjoy the spectacular final moto held right next to Parc Ferme at Riverwood Downs, kids get free entry with adult tickets available for $10.
