2023 Finance My Bike East Coast MX Series - Round two

The 2023 Finance My Bike East Coast MX Series headed to Nowra for the second round.

Although there were some challenges, the Nowra Motoplex produced a fantastic track for the competitors. The hot weather did play a role in turning the track hard pack and dusty just after lunch each day, but the Nowra Motoplex and even some of the competitors chipped in watering the track to keep the dust down. Newly signed Yamaha GYTR pilot Blake Bohannon dominated both the 10-u12 65cc class and the 9-u12 85cc class sweeping all 6 races to take the overall wins but also extended his championship lead in both classes . Bohannon’s Yamaha team mate Koby Hantis almost completed a similar feat in both the Junior Lites 125cc and 250cc classes, only dropping 1 moto in the 2^nd moto on the 125cc to GasGas rider Ky Woods.

In the senior divisions Yamaha rider Cooper Holroyd claimed the overall win in the MX1 class with 1-1-1-2 finishes, only dropping the final moto to KTM rider Connor Rossandich. Yamaha rider Aidan Waddell also had a great day sweeping all four motos in the MX1 Clubman class and then a near perfect score of 1-1-2-1 in the MX2 Clubman class taking the overall win with young Husqvarna rookie Michael Jones taking the win in the 3^rd moto to get 2^nd overall in the MX2 Clubman class.
