2023 BETA RR390: EXTREME TERRAIN PROTECTION

8 months ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Jarrad Duffy

Aside from having a veritable smorgasbord of models to choose from these days, Beta has also made a point of keeping their dealer floor price tags significantly lower than comparable models from other European manufacturers. And you know what a price differential does to a bloke’s psyche, don’t you? Yep, it makes him think he’s got a spare chunk of change to “judiciously” spend on some accessory parts to “really make this motorcycle mine”.

Now, while you could argue that sort of thinking is manifestly flawed (something your household’s Minister of Finance will no doubt point out!), it actually stands to reason when you’re talking about buying protective parts. Why? Because paying for protective parts is, in effect, paying for an insurance premium against potentially more costly damage to your bike.

So, seeing as we’ve been throwing our Beta RR390 project bike at a fair bit of extreme terrain of late, we decided it would make sense to throw some extra protective parts at it. You can click here for a comprehensive list (including RRPs) of what we fitted, or join us in this video as we walk you through what we fitted to our Beta and why…
