2017 12-Hour’s Dozen Men of Iron
If you ride dirt bikes and reckon you’ve got some serious staying power, then there’s a good chance the Transmoto 12-Hour is on your bucket list. Over the past six years, between 25 and 40 gluttons for punishment have signed up each year for this flagship event on the Transmoto Enduro Event calendar, but only 40% of them ever managed to finish it. And that’s exactly why it’s become such a badge of honour.
So, for 2017 – in the interests of maximising the number of four-man teams and participation in the Transmoto 12-Hour – we’ve limited entries in the Ironman class to just 12 (with priority entry going to the legends who’ve previously finished the grueling event), and we’ve jacked the entry fee up to ensure we separate the pretenders from the serious contenders.
Badge of honour aside, Ironman-class entrants in 2017 will receive an official event T-shirt, and a Transmoto cap and hoodie as part of their entry fee. Plus they go in the running to win the coveted Golden Sprocket – a $1000 gold pendent that’s custom-made by Sydney-based jeweler, Bunda Fine Jewels. Yep, plenty of good reasons to sign up and give yourself a fighting chance to join a very exclusive club.
