Red Bull Factory KTM Racing Rally Team racer, Toby Price, put in a strong fourth stage at the 2016 Dakar Rally to be the fastest KTM-mounted finisher in the first half of the marathon stage.
It was a good recovery from the previous stage for the Australian, after GPS issues and safety concerns saw him finish all the way back in 38th place. He finished in fifth today, and was four minutes off the pace of stage winner, Paolo Goncalves of Portugal. Goncalves advanced to the top spot on the score sheets after the original stage winner, Spaniard Joan Barreda, picked up a five-minute speeding penalty. Price now sits seventh in the Overall rankings (nine minutes and 53 seconds behind leader, Goncalves) just behind his factory teammate, Austrian Matthias Walkner.
