2014 AMA SX Crash Compilation
We’re now 13 rounds into the 17-round 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, and some seriously gnarly stuff has taken place. We reflect on five moments that have made you scream, “F#@K!” at your television screen this year…
James Stewart @ Anaheim 1
Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart went down hard chasing Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen for the lead during the 450SX Class Main Event at Anaheim 1. Not the best way for JS7 to start the year.
Chad Reed @ San Diego
On the final lap of the Main Event at San Diego, the sixth round of the 2014 series, Discount Tire Racing/TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed crashed hard into the face of a jump while sitting in fourth – like Stewart, he was chasing Roczen. His season ended that night.
Ivan Tedesco @ Indianapolis
During the 450SX LCQ at Indianapolis’ round, Ivan Tedesco slipped off his bike and got both of his legs stuck in between the tyre and rear fender of Tevin Tapia’s machine, and was dragged across the track. Ouch…
Mookie & Bam Bam @ Daytona
This one’s not really a serious crash, but we know you got a huge kick out of it! Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Justin Barcia and Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Malcolm Stewart collided at the tenth round of this year’s series in Daytona.
Wil Hahn @ St. Louis
Wil Hahn crashed pretty badly during his Heat race at St.Louis over the weekend. The GEICO Honda rider was carted off the track, suffering a broken arm.
