2013 Sherco ST Models
Will Coole
Sherco has continued the evolution of its ST Trials bike range, updating the overall appearance of their ST machines, as well as making a comprehensive range of engineering tweaks to engine, body and brakes to further refine one of the most popular machines on the market. Having blue and yellow as their corporate colours, Sherco has followed the trend set by KTM and Husaberg, splashing their frames and various other pieces in vivid colour as well as applying subtle matt black to the engine, giving the ST range a glossy new look.
Updates to the engine include the redesign of the kick-start and gear-lever, modifications to the right hand side crankcase and cylinder head plus the addition of a radial bearing into the clutch for increased performance and durability. New setting in the carburettor finish things off.
The chassis has been thoroughly scrutinised and received strengthening in the most critical areas to give a more rigid feel while the bodywork gets updates to the skid plate and decals.
A joint effort between Sherco and Formula has led to an innovative front brake lever design which incorporates a rod and ball joint link that ensures an even and constant feel at the lever whatever the situation.
Last but not least, the suspension receives minor changes with the front receiving new settings, while a spring lock washer is incorporated into the R16V rear shock.
Available in 80, 125 and 250cc variants, the Sherco ST Trials range is sure to attract plenty of attention. For more information, head to the website.
