2011 Husaberg Price and Arrival Dates
2011 model Husabergs are due to arrive in Australia in September, including their much-awaited two-stroke models. Owned by KTM, the ‘premium’ Swedish/Austrian enduro manufacturer has re-branded KTM’s enduro two-strokes, as well as upgrading the suspension to closed-cartridge front forks and upping the fuel capacity to 11L. So where do the new TE250 and 300 sit price-wise in comparison to their KTM brethren? At $11,995, the TE250 is $500 dearer than KTM’s 250 EXC, while the TE300 is $600 more expensive than KTM’s 300 EXC at $12,595.
This trend reflects the additional price – and premium market position – of Husaberg’s four-stroke models, which are about $500 dearer than KTM’s equivalent bike. However, with KTMs now very competitive price-wise in the enduro market, the premium for the ‘Bergs doesn’t make them appear ridiculously expensive.
See #3 of Transmoto for our full test of the new Bergs, and refer to the table below for full details on price and arrival dates. Plus, see what our Editor Andy Wigan thought of the two-strokes.
