3 months ago | Words: Matt Bernard | Photos: ProMotocross

Beyond the Gate offers you an exclusive glimpse into the Monster Energy® Yamaha Star Racing team. With the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series in the bank, it’s time to attack the Monster Energy AMA Motocross Championship.
The iconic Hangtown track and typical dry California heat offer up tricky conditions for the Monster Energy® Yamaha Star Racing crew as they prep for the day’s motos. But once the gate drops, it’s Haiden Deegan putting in another inspired performance to take the 250MX overall victory and 450MX rookie Justin Cooper continuing to make strides by capturing his first Moto podium and first top five overall result.
