Delivering an impressive performance at the series finale in France, Triumph’s TF450-E mounted Jonny Walker secured second overall on the night to claim his sixth podium finish of the seven-round series. The result also confirmed second place in the final championship standings, marking an outstanding achievement for Triumph as their 450cc machine completed its first full world championship campaign.

Walker began the evening as fourth-fastest in practice before heading into SuperPole, but a crash while on a promising lap dropped him to seventh place and meant the Brit started on the second row for the opening race. Undeterred, Walker launched strongly and worked his way to the front before a small crash on the first lap briefly halted his progress and dropped him to the back of the field. Walker went on to overtake rider after rider to climb back to finish fifth.

Lining up on the front row for the reverse-grid second race, Walker made the perfect start by claiming the holeshot and immediately stretching a gap at the front. He maintained his advantage throughout the race despite constant pressure from behind, Walker held firm to secure the race win and firmly place himself back in contention for the overall result.

For the final race of the championship, Walker again lined up on the back row but produced another strong start to emerge fourth through the opening turns. Wasting no time, he began closing down the leaders and soon entered a fierce three-way contest for second. A decisive double overtake through the log section moved Jonny into the runner-up position midway through the race where he ultimately remained to hold second place through to the finish.

Thanks to his improving race results, Walker secured second overall on the night to round out the season and the result confirmed his position as runner-up in the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship – capping an exceptional debut campaign for the TF450-E in its first full world championship season. Following his AMA EnduroCross title last year, Walker quickly adapted to the Triumph machine and delivered race wins, multiple overall podiums, and consistent front-running performances throughout the series.

Jonny Walker:
“Tonight in France we wrapped up the final round of the championship with second overall on the night and second overall in the championship. The last three rounds have been really tough for me physically. I broke my hand at the first one, pushed through the next round, and tonight I picked up a rib injury in the first race which made it hard to even take a deep breath. So to still come away with second overall in the championship is something I’m really proud of. It’s been a big effort from the whole team and I’m grateful for all the support along the way.”

Paul Edmondson – Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager:
“It’s great to wrap up the season here in France after what has been an amazing year for the team. Moving Jonny from the 250 to the 450 was a big step for us, especially coming straight off his EnduroCross win, and we knew SuperEnduro would bring a different set of challenges. But Jonny adapted incredibly well and together we’ve had a really strong season. The whole team has worked hard behind the scenes, and to finish second in the championship with the TF 450-E in its first full season is something we’re really proud of. A big thank you to all of our sponsors and everyone at Triumph who has supported the programme – it’s been a fantastic team effort.”

Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles:
“It’s great to see Jonny round out the championship in second place. Once again, he’s shown not only his incredibly smooth riding style, but also the capability of our new enduro machinery. Taking the TF450-E into SuperEnduro is no small task, but it really highlights the adaptability and performance of the bike. Coming straight off his EnduroCross title, Jonny carried strong momentum into the series and showed he can take the fight to the very best in the world. In just our second year in SuperEnduro, to have both of our machines secure second place in the championship in consecutive years is a fantastic achievement. Well done, Jonny.”
