Transmoto 8-Hour: Coona Classes

9 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Jarrad Duffy

The idea of a Transmoto event getting some ochre Outback soil between its toes for the first time obviously struck a chord with a lot of people, because we’ve been inundated with requests over the past week for more information about Coonabarabran’s “Goanna Tracks” and the inaugural Transmoto 8-Hour, powered by KTM & Husqvarna, to be held there on July 15-16.
Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions:

WHAT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE?
There will be a strictly limited number of entries for the Ironman and Pairs classes, but plenty of positions available in the Team-of-Four class. This is the class structure we used for our first 8-Hour (at Victoria’s Dargo in 2016), which worked well.

WHEN DO ENTRIES OPEN?
Traditionally, we open entries for Transmoto Enduro Event around six weeks prior to the event itself, but we plan to open entries to the inaugural Transmoto 8-Hour at Coona about two months prior to the July 15-16 event. Stay tuned to Transmoto’s website and social media channels over the next couple of weeks for details. And don’t worry; you’ll get plenty of warning.
