After Bell launched their all-new, top-of-the-line Moto-10 Spherical helmet, there was some initial confusion over whether it was designed to augment the brand’s super-popular Moto-9 Carbon Flex or replace it all-together. Well, now the hype surrounding the Moto-10’s release has subsided, a refined Moto-9 Flex (now called the Moto-9S Flex) has emerged from the shadows to remind us that it’s still very much a part of Bell’s dirt bike helmet range, albeit with a tweak to its shell construction and some new graphics options.
But how does this $880-$950 lid compare with its Moto-9 Carbon predecessor, and with the $1200-$1300 Moto-10 that’s now taken over as Bell’s most advanced off-road helmet? After we used and abused Bell’s new Moto-9S Flex for a few months, here’s what we can tell you…
