If you’re a hardcore surf dog, then Julian Wilson needs no introduction. The 35-year-old has been one of Australia’s hottest talents on the World Surf League (WSL) since his arrival in 2011, and represented Team Australia when surfing made its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020. Put simply, he absolutely shreds.

What you may not know about Julian is that he values his time on a dirt bike just as much as his time in the waves. His passion for two wheels has helped him balance his surfing career and has been a consistent part of his life from his early teens right up until today.

Transmoto and VW Amarok and Vans took some time out with Julian in Newcastle, NSW – where he now resides on a few peaceful acres with his family, close to the beach and even closer to the trails.
