MX Nationals: RD 6 Results – Gympie
Queensland’s sunny town of Gympie played host to round six of the Pirelli MX Nationals over the weekend. The event was nothing short of total success, with fantastic racing showcased over the beautiful natural terrain of The MX Farm complex.
The Thor MX1 class roared into life on Sunday morning, and a sensational day of racing unfolded across the day, with the traditional two-moto format. Luke Clout walked into round six with the red plate aboard his CDR Yamaha Monster energy Machine but was unable to hold onto the championship points lead after a stellar performance from DPH Factory Husqvarna rider Todd Waters.

The Pirelli MX2 class were challenged with the three-moto format. Consisting of two back-to-back motos, this class demonstrated some of the best action we have seen all year. Wilson Todd took out both the back-to-back moto’s but not without a challenge from Nathan Crawford and Aaron Tanti. The second moto would see Jay Wilson take out the moto win following an early moto crash for Wilson Todd.

The Motul MXD class was tested on the new style of natural terrain track that MX Farm presented. Maximus Purvis took out the first moto win before Regan Duffy regained his spot on top of the podium taking out the second moto win and securing him the round win.
