Motorcycle Festival Hits The ‘Gong

As recently announced, Round 3 of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship will take place in Wollongong’s iconic WIN Stadium on Saturday, November 9. And the great news for motorcycle fans is that this national round will coincide with the running of the Australian Motorcycle Festival, which will take place at Lang Park (right next door to WIN Stadium) that same weekend.

Formally known as the Sydney Motorcycle Show, the Australian Motorcycle Festival remains Australia’s largest motorcycle show, and is set to expand in 2019 with massive trade displays that feature motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, SxSs, trikes and jet-skis, plus related products and services. Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to test a huge range of motorcycles and jet-skis.
According to Mark Sleigh, General Manager of Destination Wollongong, “Wollongong makes for the perfect road trip with stunning coastline taking in Sea Cliff Bridge as well as the winding escarpment, which will put all your motorcycle skills to the test. The combination of the Supercross Championship round and the Motorcycle Festival make for the perfect weekend away, so we encourage everyone to stay a little longer and enjoy the attractions, natural assets and cafes and bars on offer in Wollongong.”
Tickets went on sale Monday, April 29, via Ticketmaster with ticket prices starting from $30.
