Get to know up and coming young gun, riding for the Penrite CRF Honda Racing Team – Kyle Webster.

NAME: Kyle Webster
AGE: 20
TEAM: Penrite CRF Honda Racing
WEIGHT/HEIGHT: 74kg, 170cm
SINGLE/STEADY/HITCHED: Steady (punching well above my weight)
KIDS:
NO
MUSIC: I like a mix of new music, especially the tunes played on Triple J.
MY CREW: Lachy Wilson, Aaron Tanti, Connor Tierney, Jess Moore and Dylan Wills (when he’s not being to factory for the rest of us).

If I didn’t race dirt bikes professionally, I’d probably be…
Either a plumber or a firefighter (or seeking the government’s assistance).

Three things people don’t know about me are…
1. I love animals, especially cows.
2. I want to be firemen one day.
3. I was born in South Africa.

The best thing about being a Motocross Athlete is…
Getting to do what I love every day – ride dirt bikes.

My most memorable race was…
2016 was my first full year of Supercross. My most memorable race would have to have been during the 2016 AUS-X Open. After a miserable Saturday of racing, Sunday proved much more successful. I finished on the box in third place (although at the time, I was completely unaware). To make it even better, on the same night I also beat a few of the Pro AMA riders in the first Australia vs America shootout! (Reed, Villopoto). It was only one lap but I’ll take it.

My fiercest rivalry was/is with (who, and why) …
I don’t really have a fierce rivalry with anyone, just whoever I’m racing against at the time.

If I was a series promoter, the first thing I’d do is…
That’s a tough one because the series are organised and run pretty well. But I would try and seek more opportunities from outside parties to increase the financial rewards for placing in the top three.

A funny story about my mechanic (or team manager)…
I’m on a new team so we haven’t had a lot of time together for funny events to happen yet but every time we go racing I always have a good laugh with my mechanic.

I escape from the grind of training and racing by…
Surfing or eating heaps of food.

I’m obsessed about…
Chocolate

Don’t even start me about…
Organisation. I hate being disorganised which I am a lot of the time.
