James Stewart loving the all-new MX vs ATV Alive game

You know the new MX vs ATV Alive video is going to be good when the fastest man on the planet, James Stewart, is giving the game developers feedback.

MX vs ATV Alive boasts a Player Progression XP System which allows you to pick your own path to motocross stardom. No matter your style of playing; be it racing or Freeride, bikes or ATVs, single player or online, your rider is earning XP and heading towards being the ultimate race champ.

Gone are the segregated online, arcade, and career modes as they are replaced by a customisable, choose-your-own-way system. All paths lead to the same goal…more XP and more wins! Even DLC bikes, ATVs, and tracks plug flawlessly into the Player Progression XP System giving the player the ultimate control over creating their ideal gaming experience.

Earning Rider XP allows players to advance from Rookie to Amateur eventually reaching Pro status. As you move up the ranks, you will be awarded faster bikes and ATVs, and invited to compete at more challenging events. Rider gear and Rider Skills are also unlocked as you level up. Rider XP is earned by finishing races and exploring in Free Ride. Additional Rider XP can be earned by finishing better in races, completing Free Ride challenges, and earning bonuses. Bonuses come from racing tougher competition or playing online, completing Race Goals, and more. Wait! Race Goals? What are those?!

Dukes of Hazard style anyone?

Race Goals allow players to earn additonal Rider XP and unlock more gear by completing mini-challenges while racing and Free Riding. Lapping riders, pulling the MotoSport holeshot, and completing mistake free races are just a few of the Race Goals that can be earned. Each Race Goal has three levels. Once a level is surpassed, Rider XP and a new piece of gear will be awarded. Only the top riders in MX vs ATV Alive will achieve all three levels of a Race Goal.

Vehicle XP is the second major pillar of the Player Progression XP System which allows you to turn your bone stock bike or ATV into a full factory race machine. Finishing races and exploring in Free Ride will allow you to unlock upgrades to help the look and performance of your ride. The better you finish, the faster you’ll unlock sweet new parts like exhaust systems and graphics kits. If you’ve purchased a new ride through downloadable content (DLC) you can even earn Vehicle XP for that bike or ATV and turn it into your custom factory ride.

The Player Progression XP System allows you to have your MX vs ATV experience the way you want it. Having to grind through the game playing on events or vehicles you don’t like is a thing of the past. Compete against the top MX and ATV pros in single player and split screen, or take on the world’s finest MX vs ATV Alive players online. Free Ride with your buddies or battle for the podium against stars like James Stewart… there is no wrong way to enjoy MX vs ATV Alive.
