2 years ago | Words: Matt Bernard | Photos: Husqvarna

Husqvarna Motorcycles Australia has announced the return of the Husqvarna Trek for its fifth consecutive year, set to embark on an adventure through the stunning landscape of the New South Wales South Coast in 2024. From September 1st to September 6th, riders of the 701 Enduro, 701 Enduro LR, Norden 901, and Norden 901 Expedition models will have the opportunity to immerse themselves a five-day excursion. With options catering to both new and experienced riders, the trek promises an unforgettable journey through scenic routes and challenging terrain, supported by Husqvarna Motorcycles Australia’s dedicated crew and comprehensive assistance services. Limited availability ensures each participant enjoys an exceptional experience alongside fellow Husqvarna enthusiasts.

Why JOIN the Husqvarna Trek?

Husqvarna take the hard work out of planning a ride so you can truly enjoy your adventure. Ever tried to organise a group of mates for a multi-day ride? Not an easy task. Husky worry about the details – so you can enjoy the adventure.

Starting and finishing in Huskisson, NSW, a popular coastal destination in the Shoalhaven region, the Trek will head along the coast to Batemans Bay, before two overnights at our southern-most home base of Bermagui, before returning through Batemans Bay to Huskisson.

The terrain in the South Coast region will offer riders flowing forest tracks and fire trails, climbing from the coast to the edge of epic escarpments, with stunning views back over the ocean from the numerous lookouts along the way. Riders will be able to enjoy plenty of elevation gain throughout each day – but don’t worry, the steeper uphill and downhill sections will be kept for the spicy Hard Routes!

More highlights of the route include plenty of water crossings, as well as long flowing sections following along the banks of rivers. While the Day 3 loop from Bermagui will diversify with some sandy and loamy sections to dial up the FUN!

The key objective of the local expert route coordinators is to provide riders a near all-dirt experience, with most days featuring 80% off-road and very limited bitumen sections in and out of the overnight destinations or fuel stops!
