Dirt bike chains and sprockets have become way more durable over the past 20 years – so much so that owners now routinely forget to make them part of their regular regime when it comes to inspecting and replacing consumable parts. But they sure shouldn’t be. After all, your bike’s chain and sprockets have the unenviable job of transferring horsepower from the bowels of your engine directly to the rear wheel. As if that’s not hard enough, they also need to cope with being regularly doused in water, grit and mud!

So, listen up as we walk you through the 10 key steps that’ll ensure your bike’s chain and sprocket are doing their job properly.
