GASGAS FLAT TRACK CONVERSION
What’s not to like about flat track bikes?! They combine moto steeze with bad-arse braking bits and lowered suspension, and fat wheelsets that scream back-it-in balls and sideways action in close proximity to concrete walls. Collectively, that adds up to major two-wheeled cred, in our books.

Conveniently, converting your MX bike into a flat track weapon (and back again) isn’t too much of a ball-ache – especially now that manufacturers’ parts and accessories catalogues have ready-made components that make the job easy. Case in point: this GASGAS MC450F that a posse at FUNFUN HQ decided to convert into a flat tracker, and document the job on video.
Here’s the GASGAS crew’s take on the build…

Sometimes it’s only about having fun, right? Not about racing or results; just good times on a dirt bike, and maybe trying something a little different. That’s why we decided to take one of our awesome MC450F motocross bikes, strip it down, and build it back up with a few well-chosen GASGAS Technical Accessories to create a super-fun Flat Track racer.
The main goal behind this project was to see if we could build a legitimate Flat Track racer from a stock MC450F motocross bike and a few carefully selected parts. To keep the GASGAS Flat Track project build simple, we only fitted essential GASGAS Technical Accessories, aside from the Akrapovic Evolution Line Exhaust System our mechanic fitted while no one was looking! The build was surprisingly easy. Using only basic tools and a little bit of mechanical knowhow, your dream flat track racer could easily become a reality.
We’re hoping this video will inspire a few intrepid riders to build a Flat Track racer of their very own. Watch the full bike build from the ground up in this video. Want to have a go building your own GASGAS Flat Track bike? Take a look through their extended range of Technical Accessories
