GASGAS has released the 2025 MC85 which is bursting with upgrades for the new year. Geez, kids have it good these days… this is one seriously good-looking machine.

The 2025 MC85 boasts a range of significant updates, including an all-new frame, striking all-red bodywork, and an improved WP XACT shock. These changes ensure that the bike delivers confidence-inspiring handling and superior stability. GASGAS engineers have meticulously refined every component to create a dirt bike that promises both excitement and ease of use for younger riders.

Scheduled to hit Australian dealerships in August and New Zealand in October in two versions: one with 17”/14” and the big wheel, 19”/16” version.

Key improvements include a new frame that enhances stability and creates a lighter feel in turns, a new WP XACT shock for better traction, and a lighter swingarm and updated footpegs. The motor has also been a focal point, with significant tweaks to boost low to mid-range power and torque. Upgrades include a new cylinder head, ignition, exhaust, spark plug, and revised settings within the KEIHIN carburettor, complemented by a redesigned airbox for improved airflow. New PANKL radiators ensure the engine maintains optimal temperature for peak performance.

Additionally, the repositioned engine enhances the bike’s balance, and the redesigned bodywork features all-new, slim side panels that mimic the look of GASGAS’s full-size bikes. These design elements not only improve the bike’s aesthetics but also allow young riders to move more freely, emulating their GASGAS factory racing heroes.

Overall, the 2025 GASGAS MC85 is crafted to look and perform like a scaled-down version of the brand’s larger bikes, ensuring that young riders get a taste of what’s to come as they progress in their motocross journey. The new MC85 is sure to leave a lasting impression with its performance and style, evident in the beaming smiles of its young riders.

Technical Highlights

  • New frame – All-new for 2025 to improve cornering and stability, especially when getting on the gas out of turns. Frame protectors keep it looking fresh, too.
  • New WP XACT shock – A new mounting point on the frame and slight reduction in travel creates a more balanced and planted feel for improved traction and control.
  • Updated motor – A new cylinder head, ignition, spark plug, and carburetor settings boost low to mid-range power and torque.
  • New exhaust system – Designed in line with the motor updates for maximum performance.
  • New bodywork and graphics – Mirroring the full size bikes for a sweet new look with slimmer side panels improving control.
  • New shift drum – Finished with a new coating for strength and smoother shifting.
  • New swingarm – Lighter in weight by 300g and positioned a little more level than before thanks to the shorter shock and new frame. This leads to a lower back end for easier movement on the bike.
  • New footpegs – Redesigned to prevent mud from building up for total control in all conditions.
  • New radiators – Made by PANKL so you just know they’re up to the job of keeping the motor cool!
  • Redesigned airbox – With improved airflow for maximum performance.
  • Hour meter – Records time spent on the bike to help you keep on top of routine servicing.
