As the season-opener of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship in Argentina quickly approaches, Ducati has unveiled their livery of the new Ducati Desmo250 MX machines that will be fielded by the Beddini Racing Ducati Factory MX2 Team. Originally set to have 19-year-old Tuscan rider Ferruccio Zanchi competing in the world championship, Simone Mancici will now take his place to make both his own and the Desmo250 MX’s world championship debut as Zanchi remains sidelined with injury.
Eighteen-year-old Mancini was originally set to lineup for just the first 12 rounds of the European 250cc Championship beginning on March 22, and he will continue to do so alongside his MXGP appearance this weekend. Zanchi, after riding the new Desmo250 MX to the podium in the first round of the Internazionali d’Italia in Alghero and completing his winter prep, suffered a training accident that will keep him off the bike for several weeks.
