Well, this sucks.

Reedy has confirmed via social media that he broke three bones at the sixth round of the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, held in San Diego over the weekend. The Discount Tire Racing/TwoTwo Motorsports rider has broken his scapula, collarbone and T1 vertebra.

The Australian crashed on the final lap of the 20-lap 450SX Main Event, while chasing Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen for third place. You can check out the footage from the crash here.

Reed has stated that he plans on being there in Texas this weekend.

“Sometimes things don’t make sense,” he posted via social media. “It’s that love-hate relationship you have with racing. But every Saturday night they drop that gate. In six days I plan to be there!”

Reed, who has won two rounds Overall in 2014 (Anaheim 2 and Anaheim 3) was officially scored 12th at San Diego having completed 19 laps. He now sits third in the Overall standings, 15 points behind three-time defending SX champ, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.
