Chad Reed 2014 San Diego Crash

On the final lap of the Main Event at San Diego, the sixth round of the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, Discount Tire Racing/TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed crashed hard into the face of a jump while sitting in fourth. The footage is posted below. We’ll keep you posted on injury developments as they come to hand.

Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart went on to win the Main Event at SD, ahead of Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto and Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen.

In the 250SX Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Justin Hill took his first-ever career victory, ahead of Rockstar KTM Racing’s Jason Anderson and Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda’s Malcolm Stewart. Hill’s teammate, Dean Wilson, crashed early in the race while leading.
