Tuesday Chinwag No.50 with Jake Smith
While out at the inaugural 2011 Dubbo Roar MX Open, we ran into GHR Honda’s Jacob Smith who was trying his luck at the event. There was $1000 up for grabs in the Super X-style elimination format, the Roar All-Powers Championship. With the likes of Under 19s MX Champ, Errol Willis, and his teammate Lawson Bopping, plus Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha’s Ben Burrell and up-and-coming women’s rider Meghan Rutlege racing the event it was going to be a tough one. Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Lawson Bopping walked away with the big cash prize, beating the super-competitive Willis to the punch.
