2025 Australian Enduro Championship to kickstart a new off-road era

Australian Enduro racing is entering a new era for 2025, with Motorcycling Australia announcing the launch of the Australian Enduro Championship (AEC) – previously known as the Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).

The 12-round AEC will make its debut in Kempsey, NSW on March 1-2 with a fresh focus on aligning its point-scoring system with that of global championships. An outright points table will be established, where riders from the E1, E2 and E3 categories will battle for the coveted title of Pro Enduro champion at every round and across the 2025 championship.

Another new aspect is the introduction of a Sportsman class, creating an exciting new platform for clubman riders to compete at a national level.

Yamaha Australia and MXstore continue to support the championship, with the AEC bringing in new initiatives, opportunities and revitalised branding for this next era of enduro in Australia. This rebrand and restructure aims to raise the profile of the AEC and its riders, along with delivering heightened exposure for sponsors and partners.

While enhancing the competitive structure of championship, these highly anticipated changes provide new opportunities for visibility and growth within the sport.

Motorcycling Australia CEO, Peter Doyle:
“The Australian Enduro Championship will showcase an international standard championship not only for our Australian riders and teams, but also our enduro fans locally and throughout the world. Thanks to our successes on the international enduro stage over many years, we now see many people focussing on the talent coming out of Australia to take on the world in EnduroGP and other championships around the globe, with the AEC continuing to be a crucial breeding ground. With the right support from industry, partners and sponsors we hope to be able to showcase a scintillating Australian Enduro Championship, starting in 2025.”

2025 Yamaha Australian Enduro Championship presented by MXstore (AEC) dates:

  • Round 1-2: March 1-2, Kempsey, NSW
  • Round 3-4: April 5-6, Traralgon, Vic
